An extraordinary Indonesian border print linen which, in all probability, was brought back from a visit to the country in the 1960s. Appears to be handwoven — this is some gorgeous linen!
The border print is of swirls in orange at the bottom for about 4.5″-5″ tall and then is filled with all manner of exotic birds, flowers, foliage, insects, and batik crackles.
USES: Make an exotic skirt, create a divider screen, hang as a wall tapestry, patch into a lovely duvet, etc.
COLORS: Orange, cobalt blue, illuminating yellow, classic red, teal green, khaki, natural background.
SIZE: Because in border prints the length and width are reversed here are the dimensions: 110″ wide x 42.5″ long
CONDITION: Almost perfect — one weaving mar (pic #7) can be patched at the back, drawn in, or camouflaged depending on the seams in your project.
SUSTAINABILITY: ALL my packaging except tape is 100% re-used. Your invoice is available digitally in your account. I source vintage items and resources either as they are, or to upcycle into new products, giving them a new life. This reduces demand on current resources, preserves history, and keeps valuable items out of the landfill, all of which asks just a little bit less out of our ever-giving Mother Earth. Etsy buys carbon offsets for all shipping, which is a win-win for the sustainability-minded shopper.
