1960s Jofa “Oriole” Fabric Sample
A rare find, this 100% hand printed early 1960s Jofa titled “Oriole” offers a fun illustrative almost graphic design treatment of the birds and flowers of this charming piece. Flowers include lilies, dogwood, daisies, and daffodils and the birds are grouped in solos and in pairs.
- COLORS: Fun color palette. On a pale, pale sage background are flowers in buttercup to mustard yellow with burnt orange detailing, celadon, teal, red, and russet, with birds in red with black detailing, and the occasional little blossom of white.
- SIZE: 47.25″ wide + 1″ selvedges on each side x 41.5″ L
- FIBER: Cotton.
- CONDITION: Excellent — there is one tiny stain on the far right hand side of the fabric (see pic) that would in all probability come out. Sorry we didn’t have time to work on it just yet. If we do, the price will go up.
