A set of three scraps of Greeff Fabrics’ 1963 “Toile Pastorale,” #74603 in the archive, where the original piece depicts a lovely shepherdess or maiden relaxing under a tree with a group of sheep around her.
Typical of a fine toile, the motif is set within a framed and embellished medallion flanked by filigree, feathers, flowers, horns, birds, scrollwork, and organic matter. These scraps have snippets and fragments of that original design that are perfect for an elegant quilt or patching in for other designs.
Serigraph on fabric. 100% cotton with a heavier hand, light drape. Made in France.
SIZE: Each of the three scraps is 8.5″ square.
COLORS: Set includes Classic Red, Classic Navy, and a Golden Brown.
CONDITION: Superior! NO cardboard or paper backing except a small easily-removed tag.
