1970 Scalamandrè “Grenade” Fabric Sample
“Grenade” — I wonder if it was supposed to be “Grenada?”— is a large Indienne-like block printed floral motif in the center is flanked by borders on each side with two vertical stripes of smaller flowers and a larger up-winding floral motif in between.
A fun punch of color on this heavy-hand 100% cotton that is almost canvas-like but not quite as thick as duck. Would make for very sturdy pillow fronts, cushions, or upholstery parts for one or two dining room chairs.
Has a very 18th century style feel but with very modern feeling colors.
Scalamandrè Archive “Grenade” #8356-6. Screenprint. Made in the US.
