Description
I LOVE this gorgeous piece! Vivid, luscious color — more vibrant than my photos depict, you won’t be disappointed. A 1970s hand printed fabric (which blows the mind in these colors with this layering) that depicts buoyant, happy flowers and bouquets along with expressive dragonflies and butterflies on a half-toned grid background. Both edges boast a contrasting two-toned chartreuse curvilinear lattice border. Twee yet sophisticated at the same time. Firm hand, light chintzing.
COLORS: Unrivaled two-toned chartreuse, brilliantly burnt orange, millennial pink, deep chocolate brown accents, a touch of Robin’s Egg Blue, all on a saturate illuminating yellow half-toned grid background.
USE: This piece would be perfect — PERFECT — as a one-of-a-kind fabric headboard for a child’s twin sized bed (saving the border for another use or piecing in the boarder). One could also do a full-sized headboard IF you pieced added fabric to the edges for what would be stretched and pressed/attached behind the board. Or cover a screen/make a small curtain for one window, or a stunning oversized message board. Or consider covering a large scale ottoman, or the back of a settee when a different fabric is used on other parts of the piece, such as this designer is doing: https://w9yards.com/custom-chairs/ — just use it where the fabric can really be seen.
SIZE: 52″ wide + .75″ selvages both sides x 1 yard long.
CONDITION: Excellent, well-preserved sturdy cotton, medium hand, lovely colors.
I have a smaller, fabric sample version of this in a different colorway available.
