Description
This listing is for one panel of six available vintage 1970s “Christmas With Love” crafting panels (or the option to buy all together). Each panel is 20″ x 20″ and will be sent with 1″ extra fabric all around for seam allowance. If you buy the whole set of six, it will come uncut.
Each panel depicts an ornate and stylized Christmas tree in the center, with a variety of Christmas themed symbols and decor woven in such as doves, toy soldier nutcrackers, angels, starbursts, ornaments, drums, holly leaves, snowflakes, ribbons, and more. All around the central motif in pink lettering on an off-white background it says in lovely script, “Christmas With Love.”
It has a design sensibility and quality that reminds me of something that would be made in an art museum’s gift shop as opposed to through a traditional fabric manufacturer. I haven’t been able to trace the artist or manufacturer but it is definitely a unique piece.
Perfect for beginner’s sewing projects at the holidays whether by hand or machine. Or great for making everyone a matching gift so everyone gets the same thing.
WHAT TO MAKE: To use less of this fabric, my advice is to use one panel for a pillow front and choose another complimentary fabric for the back to give variety. Add trims to make it “extra!” Combine with backing fabric, a spool of thread, trim, a pillow form or stuffing and simple assembly instructions to make a “beginner’s sewing kit” gift.
COLORS: Done in non-traditional colors, the panels are in a salmony-red with chartreuse, purple, pink, white, and black.
SIZE: Each panel is 20″ x 20″ or the whole piece is 44″ wide by 2 yards.

SUSTAINABILITY: ALL my packaging except tape is 100% re-used. Your invoice is available digitally in your account. I source vintage items and resources either as they are, or to upcycle into new products, giving them a new life. This reduces demand on current resources, preserves history, and keeps valuable items out of the landfill, all of which asks just a little bit less out of our ever-giving Mother Earth. Etsy buys carbon offsets for all shipping, which is a win-win for the sustainability-minded shopper.
