Description
Suzanne Somers, Farrah Fawcett, or Bo Derek would have worn this well!
Fabulously flowy and semi sheer silk-rayon blend fabric from the 1970s offers the perfect cocktail party or semi-formal event dress fabric. To fit with the 1970s look it could be sewn into a Diane Von Furstenburg-like wrap dress or a sheath dress with an underslip in a complimentary color.
COLORS: The background of this fabric is a very deep green olive-deep mushroom brown on which white lilies and dogwood blooms are scattered about while chartreuse foliage and floral shadows intertwine with plum colored accents. Inside the white flowers are some modern gray color tones and the entire fabric has the tiniest hint of gold threads that play peek-a-boo in the subtlest way. Semi sheer.
FIBER: A silk and poly/rayon blend
Size: 56″ w x 2 yards + 18″ long

SHIPPING: Free domestic; calculated international shipping.
SHOP NOTE: I’m all about sustainability. ALL of my packaging (boxes, envelopes, tissue, ribbons, padding) except tape is 100% recycled. I only include invoices by request to avoid more paper and ink use. Everything from a smoke-free and pet-free studio.
SHOP MISSION: My philosophy is #buyantiquesfirst #buyvintagefirst #buyusedfirst #buyupcycledfirst. It is our duty to not make new demands on the industrial economy and instead to utilize already embedded energy is the quadrillions of products already made and still useable in life today.
With my products, together you and I help reduce earth impacts since I source vintage items and resources either as they are, or to upcycle into new products, giving them a new life. This reduces demand on current resources, preserves history, and keeps valuable items out of the landfill, all of which asks just a little bit less out of our ever-giving Mother Earth. And since Etsy buys carbon offsets for all shipping, this approach is a win-win for the sustainability-minded shopper.
