This Piece: Duralee 9525 is an adaptation from the collection of the Musee des arts Decoratifs Paris. On a China-black background a host of popping blossoms compete for attention, each as colorfully vibrant as the next. Red raspberries, pink dogwoods and blue tulips, a basket of flowers, trails of ribbon, and luscious two-toned green foliage. Make something gorgeoous and send me a pic!
MAKER: Duralee is a mid century company, launching in the early 1950s. They did so to much aplomb, with many considering their entry into the field to be an exciting addition to the fabrics and home decorator. Given so many fabric houses which have merged over the years, Duralee has acquired many distinctive brands and their sizable archive collections.

Why High-End Vintage Fabric Samples?: Because the size and quality make it possible to access a very high-end fabric for a smaller scale project without the high cost of these fabrics which often begin at over $150 a yard. Or to access a small amount of discontinued fabric to match an existing piece of furniture, pillow, or lamp.
SHOP MISSION: For art and textiles I use eco-friendly resources including non-toxic materials, and upcycled textiles for sale or turned into new products. My philosophy is #buyantiquesfirst #buyvintagefirst #buyusedfirst #buyupcycledfirst and sell them as they are, or turn them into something new.
I believe it’s our duty as contemporary earth dwellers to not make new demands on the industrial economy and instead to utilize already embedded energy is the quadrillions of products already made and still usable in life today either as they are, or transformed into something fresh.
With my products, together you and I help reduce earth impacts since I source vintage items and resources either as they are, or to upcycle into new products, giving them a new life. This reduces demand on current resources, preserves history, and keeps valuable items out of the landfill, all of which asks just a little bit less out of our ever-giving Mother Earth. And since Etsy buys carbon offsets for all shipping, this approach is a win-win for the sustainability-minded shopper.
