This very unique vining oak leaf jacquard loomed piece is likely from the 1980s or earlier. The pattern hints at Arts & Crafts era design inspiration — this piece would be lovely as pillows or covering dining chairs or an entire club chair sized chair for use in a decorating scheme emphasizing organic form, naturalistic tones, and earthiness, yet with an elegance and refinement. Flowers include Irises, Morning Glory, and Roses. The background has woven-in tone-on-tone khaki dots, lending more texture and form to the design.
We don’t have the maker for this one, but the extremely high quality weaving, subtle coloration, and refined theme suggest it has a pedigree from one of the finer upscale fabric houses.
