Description
This particular Indienne style upholstery print, “Lymington,” comes in such an astoundingly gorgeous combination of jewel-toned blues and reds and mellowed out pinks and yellows that you get an immediate sense of history and gravitas to its look. Expressive foliage, multi-hued color layers, contrasting 1.25″ wide vertical stripe bands with larger 6.75″ wide floral and foliage bands.
The name “Lymington” likely refers to the Hampshire, England port town of the same name. This print may have been taken from extant 18th century examples found there.
This is a 1980s broadcloth chintz by Waverly Plus, which is Scotchguard finished. Made in the USA. It could easily work in to any country decor, 18th century inspired decor, or folk-infused decor.

SUSTAINABILITY: ALL my packaging except tape is 100% re-used. Your invoice is available digitally in your account. I source vintage items and resources (or in this case, discontinued stock that’s 8 years old) either as they are, or to upcycle into new products, giving them a new life. This reduces demand on current resources, preserves history, and keeps valuable items out of the landfill, all of which asks just a little bit less out of our ever-giving Mother Earth. Etsy buys carbon offsets for all shipping, which is a win-win for the sustainability-minded shopper.
