If you love fabric as much as I do then you know how hard it is to resist buying new pieces that you love!
I found myself in that predicament recently when I was sourcing some amazingly rare and unique vintage fabric pieces and the person selling me those also had a bunch of 21st century interior design samples that they wanted me to pick up, too.
Though I don’t usually deal in 21st century pieces (I have a very few pieces acquired in a similar way as the transaction I’m writing about now), I saw them and couldn’t resist picking them up, too.
What’s great about this 21st century set is that, like my vintage fabric samples, these were also salesman samples, meaning they’re larger than most interior samples today, and, notably, they have no grommets on them, no sew lines, no cardboard header attached in glue! YAY!
In other words, these are ripe and ready for your next quilt, slow sewing project, mixed media fiber arts piece, or just to make a pillow or tote front, and more!
We spent this week listing 25 of these pieces (there’s a few more to go) and they’re ready for you to scoop up!
While these pieces are from about 2004-2010, they’re typically discontinued and out of print. So they will be different than a lot of what you find on the market today and, as deadstock, they are environmentally more sound than using new pieces.
But since I don’t focus on 21st century fabrics at Lady Virginia, and these aren’t rare to the degree my other pieces are rare, I listed them at substantially lower prices than my other pieces. Each sample ranges from about $14-$49 each and some are offered in sets with a discount.
On top of that, just to my blog readers and mailing list, the pieces are available from now through April 30th at 25% off using the coupon code SAMPLES25. As always, there’s free shipping in the United States over $35.
This selection of samples includes pieces by P. Kaufmann, Dwell Studio, Duralee, Tilton Fenwick, Robert Allen, Schumacher, Bailey & Griffin, G Studio, and more. Most are in linen or linen/rayon, with some in cotton duck.
The designs are grandmillennial Indienne florals, Jacobean styles, paisleys, preppy florals, abstracts, Mod, and traditional styling. These pieces are great for a one-off project like a pillow front, or to use in larger projects, or to pull from for appliqué and other creative endeavors. Find the pieces in my new 21st Century Fabric Samples section on Etsy.
I’ll continue to list the rest of the pieces until they’re all out there but you can use the coupon starting now and through the end of the month.
Enjoy! And thank you for shopping with Lady Virginia Vintage Fabrics where we strive to find you the most unique and special fabrics for your projects!
